Large Impeller Project Centrifugal Fan

This large impeller was delivered in December 2017 and weighs in at an impressive 5282 kg. It’s no surprize it requires a 1200 kW motor to turn it at 6 Pole Speed.

This dynamically balanced, 3240 mm diameter impeller, operates after a bag house and was supplied complete with Specialised Wear Liners, Machined M24 Bolts and Transport Stand.

With relatively little weight added (see above picture), this impeller was balanced in accordance with 3709-1989 Gr.2.5 standard, a testament to the build quality.

Fabrication of the D58, Size 12000 impeller took approximately 8 weeks including the fabrication of the 240mm diameter shaft, heat stress relieving of entire impeller at 570°C, painting, balancing and landing on stand, ready for transport.
