Side Channel Blowers are used to produce high pressures or vacuums from relatively small motors and at very reasonable costs versus a high pressure centrifugal fan.

A side channel blower has a circular casing with a multi-bladed impeller, the combination which using the centrifugal thrust, ‘multiples’ up the pressure to a point where a relatively small machine can produce up to 0.5 Bar vacuum or .75 Bar pressure which is well beyond what a centrifugal fan can produce.

Volumes are low typically up to 2000 m³/hr.
